The Jedi love is strong with this one.
We’ve done Star Wars for birthday parties several times over the years. The new series has just rekindled our love, and given us more fodder for party material. The fight scene with the Elite Praetorian Guards in The Last Jedi was William’s ultimate inspiration for his 11th birthday.
So! A little sculpting (the Praetorian Guard cake topper was made of gumpaste), and a lot of painting later, this is what we came up with! We stitched together some little Porg stuffies for the kids to bring home, covered some Oreos in red-tinted chocolate, and with the help of the amazing Sarmie Sisters (Priscilla is a GENIUS!) had the most gorgeous sugar cookies known to man.
Top tier was a butter cake with butterscotch ganache filling. Middle tier was a fluffy Coconut cake with pineapple filling and coconut whipped cream filling. Bottom tier was lemonade cake, with lemon filling and whipped cream filling.
